This is a properly sized replacement plate for the KC-1402 14″ Bandsaw by King Industrial.
Issues with OEM Plate
The saw comes with an ABS plate that’s not quite tall enough to match the height of the table and pieces going across get caught on the egde which is not only annoying, it’s a safety hazard. This plate has been optimized for the exact height needed work to smoothly glide on and off the plate as you cut.
Print Settings
The original plate that came with the machine was ABS, and that is probably a safe choice for something like this if you’re setup to print it. I am not, so I used Black PETG which I think will be plenty strong for this application. I printed it with:
- Layer Height: 0.20mm
- Walls: 4
- Infill: 20% Gyroid
- Material: Black PETG Basic
- Ironing: Recommended, Topmost Surface Only
The ironing on the Bambu P1P produces are pretty smooth surface and worked perfectly. You may need to adjust the height of this slightly depending on your printer’s actual flow dynamics, layer height, and top finish. The Cut tool (e.g. Prusa/Bambu Slicer) works quite well if you need to just shave a bit off the top or something.
